Dosing and administration
When taken externally or internally, depending on the diagnosis, the method of application and dosage of calendula tincture vary somewhat.
When gargling or irrigating a sore throat, the medicine is diluted with water in a ratio of one teaspoon of tincture per glass of liquid. To obtain the necessary therapeutic effect, the procedure time should be chosen a quarter of an hour before meals. You can gargle up to six times a day.
As a choleretic agent, calendula tincture is taken orally. The dose is usually ten to twenty drops per dose. Depending on the pathology and its severity, there may be three to four such doses per day.
When applied externally, calendula tincture can be used to wipe or treat affected areas (rashes, acne, wounds and other damage to the integrity of the epidermis) undiluted or diluted. This may depend on the skin type and its level of susceptibility. In case of otitis, a turunda (gauze tourniquet) soaked in calendula tincture is usually placed in the inflamed ear. It is recommended to change the tourniquet with the medicine every five to six hours. The tincture is diluted to a 10% concentration. In such a situation, it is not recommended to instill, especially with an undiluted preparation, in order to avoid burns. Such procedures allow you to achieve a warming effect.
If otitis is diagnosed, but there are no abscesses or increased body temperature, a warming application can be used for treatment. The tincture is diluted to a 10% concentration. Gauze folded in several layers is soaked in the medicinal liquid and placed around the auricle. The compress is insulated and fixed on top.
Calendula tincture should not be dripped into the ear canal for children. To achieve a therapeutic effect, you can use a warming compress, but only with the permission of your doctor.
In case of arterial hypertension and stable high blood pressure, calendula tincture can be prescribed in the form of oral drops. The patient is recommended to take 10-20 drops 3 times a day during the day.

If a woman has gynecological problems (cervical erosion, colpitis, thrush), douching with the drug in question may be prescribed. In this situation, a teaspoon of pharmacy calendula tincture is diluted with a glass of warm boiled water. Such procedures effectively relieve itching in the genital area, relieve inflammation and have a healing effect on damaged areas of the skin and mucous membrane. Douching should be done daily. The duration of therapy is three weeks (the interval between periods). After menstruation, drug procedures must be continued. Only a doctor can prescribe or cancel treatment.
