The biocide is an antiseptic and has a disinfecting effect. 0.1 ml of the solution contains 1 ml of the disinfectant "Gembar", as well as 0.1 ml of chamomile extract.

Due to the presence of the disinfectant element "Gembar" in the composition of the drug, its antiviral, antimicrobial and antimycotic activity develops. Chamomile extract promotes the development of a moderate local anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect. Other components are necessary for correction and shaping. [ 1 ]

Indications Biocide

It is used as an antiseptic, which is used to treat the epidermis in areas where surgery or injection will be performed in patients, as well as in donors on the elbow bends. In addition, it is prescribed for hand disinfection in surgeons, as well as for hand treatment of a hygienic nature.

Release form

The drug is released in the form of an aqueous medicinal solution for external treatment procedures, inside containers with a volume of 0.25 or 0.5 l.

Dosing and administration

When performing hygienic hand treatment for medical workers in hospitals, kindergartens or schools, as well as for people working in the food industry or perfume and cosmetic salons, etc., 3 ml of the substance should be used for the hands. The medicine is rubbed into the epidermis until completely dry (exposure time is at least half a minute).

For hand treatment by surgeons: you must first wash your forearms and hands under running warm water (with soap) (the procedure lasts 2 minutes), and then dry them using a sterile gauze napkin. After this, the hands are treated with 5 ml of the substance, rubbing it into the epidermis for 150 seconds (the skin should remain moist). Then the skin is again treated with 5 ml of liquid and the above procedure is repeated. The total duration of the treatment period is 5 minutes.

Treatment performed on the surgical area: the epidermis should be wiped twice successively with different sterile swabs soaked in the medicine. After completing the procedure, you should wait 2 minutes.

Treatment carried out with the injection area: wipe the epidermis using a cotton swab soaked in a disinfectant liquid. After finishing the treatment, you need to wait 1 minute.

Use Biocide during pregnancy

There are no specific instructions regarding the use of Biocid during breastfeeding or pregnancy.

Contraindications

Contraindicated for use in people with severe intolerance to the active and auxiliary components of the medication.

Side effects Biocide

Intolerance to the drug can lead to the appearance of epidermal allergy symptoms - rashes and redness.

Interactions with other drugs

It is prohibited to use Biocide together with other antiseptic liquids.

The active element of the disinfectant "Gembar" is not compatible with anionic detergents and soap.

Storage conditions

The biocide should be stored in a dark place, out of the reach of children, in a tightly sealed container. Do not freeze the medicine. Temperature values should not exceed 25 °C.

Shelf life

The biocide is permitted to be used for a period of 24 months from the date of manufacture of the medicinal product.

Analogues

Analogues of the drug are Antisept, Gidroperit, Ethanol, Aseptaviol with Decamethoxin, Ilon with Brilliant Green and Mucosanin with Ahdez. In addition, Vitafarm, Hospisept and Betadine with Miramidez, Ioddicerin with Sanguiritrin and Bioantisept. Also on the list are Farmasept, Bonaderm, Kutasept and Septocide with Dettol solution, Ethyl, Ichthyol, Furacilin and Octenisept with Medasept.
