Preserved medical bile is a natural medicine with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. This preparation is obtained from the bile of slaughtered cattle and preserved for further medical use.

Indications of canned medical bile
Preserved medical bile can be used as an external preparation for the following diseases:
- joint pathologies of various etiologies (including inflammatory ones);
- inflammatory processes in the joint capsule;
- inflammation of the synovial membrane of the muscle tendon;
- degenerative disorders in the small joints of the spinal column (spondylolisthesis, deforming spondylosis, deforming spondyloarthrosis);
- secondary radiculopathy;
- soft tissue injuries without rupture (hematomas, sprains, compression injuries);
- plantar fasciitis (heel spur).
Release form
The drug is produced in the form of a dispersed colloidal emulsion from straw-yellow to emerald-green shade. Canned medical bile is intended for local use, can be packaged in jars of 50 ml, 100 ml or 250 ml.
The drug, in addition to bile, contains a certain amount of lysoform or formalin (a preservative), ethanol, furacilin and flavoring agents.
Dosing and administration
Preserved medical bile is used for local treatment as applications and compresses.
Typical use: fold gauze in several layers, soak in bile emulsion (after shaking the bottle), apply to the affected area, cover with cellophane or parchment and secure with a bandage.
This compress should be changed every day for a fresh one. Duration of treatment is from one to four weeks, according to individual indications. The course of procedures can be repeated after 30-60 days.
It is more appropriate to combine treatment with bile with other types of anti-inflammatory and restorative therapy.
Use of canned medical bile during pregnancy
The use of medical canned bile during pregnancy is not contraindicated, however, the drug should be used in small quantities and with caution, since studies of the drug's effect on the course of pregnancy and fetal development have not been conducted.
The possibility of using bile emulsion during breastfeeding should be determined by the doctor during an individual consultation.
Contraindications
It is not recommended to use the drug:
- if there is damaged skin at the site of application (cuts, cracks, ulcers, erosive, wound and burn surfaces, boils and carbuncles);
- in acute inflammatory processes in the lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels;
- if you are prone to allergic reactions to the drug.
Side effects of canned medical bile
In rare cases, skin irritation may occur at the site of application of the bile emulsion. After discontinuation of treatment, the area of irritation is restored. Repeated treatment can be started no earlier than after 2-4 weeks.

Overdose
Overdose symptoms are similar to the side effects of the drug and are relieved by discontinuing treatment. A repeat course of therapy can be started no earlier than a month after the development of overdose symptoms.

Interactions with other drugs
Since there is no reliable information about the interaction of medical canned bile with other drugs, experts do not recommend the simultaneous use of bile emulsion with other drugs for external use.
