Indications Betamaksa

It is used to treat such disorders:

  • delirious disorder;
  • having an acute or chronic degree of schizophrenia ;
  • the state of depression, in which deterioration of speech and motor activity is noted, as well as inhibition;
  • neurotic disorders and neuroses;
  • having a diverse nature of dizziness (due to TBI, neuritis of the vestibular type, otitis media, VBN or Meniere's syndrome);
  • ulcer or IBS (in the form of ancillary treatment).

Release form

The release is implemented in tablets, 10 pieces inside a blister pack. Inside a separate box there are 3 such packages with tablets.

Pharmacodynamics

Betamax is an atypical antipsychotic. Has antiemetic, stimulating and antidepressant properties. Does not have hypnotic effects when taken in a standard dosage. Antipsychotic effects can be explained by blocking the activity of D2-terminus of dopamine (this effect manifests itself when doses above 0.6 g / day are used). Antidepressant effect is noted when consumed up to 0.6 g / day.

Antiemetic influence is provided by the process of blocking D2-terminations of dopamine inside the emetic center. During an ulcer the medicine depresses the process of stimulation of the sympathetic NA, promotes intensification of the gastric secretion of mucus and improves blood circulation inside the stomach, and besides it increases the speed of mucosal repair and healing of lesions caused by the ulcer.

The drug stimulates the prolactin secretion process. Has no effect on the activity of serotonin, adrenergic and histamine endings.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, Cmax values are recorded after 2-3 hours. The bioavailability values are approximately 27%. Synthesis with a blood protein undergoes less than 40% of the drug. In metabolic processes does not participate.

The medicine is excreted through the kidneys, in an unmodified state. In people with a severe degree of kidney failure, the half-life is about 20-26 hours. The active element of the drug penetrates into the mother's milk.

Dosing and administration

The medication is consumed orally, without being tied to a meal. It is recommended to drink the pill before 4 pm, as the drug has a stimulating effect. The size of the dosage is determined by the type of pathology and the severity of the clinical symptoms. Below are the sizes of the corresponding portions for different diseases.

In acute form of delirium or in schizophrenia for a day take 0.6-1.2 grams of medication. The size of the maximum total dose allowed per day is 1.6 g.

With depressive states - taking in several uses of 0.15-0.2 g of drugs. For a day allowed to take a maximum of 0.6 g.

With neuroses, use 0.4-0.6 g / day.

Having a different origin of dizziness - the use of 0.15-0.2 g of the drug per day. If required, you can bring the volume of the portion to 0.4 g. The duration of therapy is a maximum of 2 weeks.

At attacks of a migraine - reception of 0,1-0,3 g LS for a day.

Elderly people are assigned half of the adult portion. If it is required for use in pregnant women, it is prescribed in small portions and for a short time.

Also, you should pay attention to the fact that during the therapy you can not drive a car, but in addition to drink alcohol. With the development of hyperthermia, it is necessary to abolish the use of drugs.

Use Betamaksa during pregnancy

Use during pregnancy.

In animal tests, fertility was weakened due to drug exposure (prolactin-mediated effect). The tests did not show any indirect or direct effect on the course of the pregnancy, the fetal development process or its postnatal development.

Since there is not enough clinical information regarding the use of Betamax during pregnancy, it is forbidden to use it during this period.

In relation to the human body, there is only a single information about the effect of drugs on the course of pregnancy. Almost always problems in the development of the fetus or the newborn, which were referred to in connection with the use of sulpiride in pregnancy, had more plausible alternative explanations. But, in any case, since experience with the use of sulpride in pregnant women is very limited, it should not be taken.

If a woman in the 3rd trimester was taking antipsychotics, the newborn is likely to develop negative manifestations, among which are extrapyramidal disorders or signs of withdrawal of drugs that have varying degrees of severity and different lengths. Among the negative symptoms: hypo- or hypertonus, sensation of excitation or drowsiness, tremor, impaired nutritional process and problems with respiratory function. Because of this, the baby's condition needs to be closely monitored.

Application in the period of lactation.

Because sulpiride is excreted with breast milk, it is forbidden to breast-feed a child during the period of therapy.

Contraindications

The main contraindications:

  • psychosis, which is manic;
  • aggression and affective disorders;
  • hyperprolactinaemia;
  • intoxication caused by opiates, alcohol or sleeping pills;
  • seizures;
  • neoplasms caused by the activity of prolactin;
  • feohromocytoma;
  • tremor paralysis;
  • increased values of blood pressure, which have a pronounced character;
  • the presence of intolerance against the drug.

Caution is required when used in people with Parkinsonism, high convulsive readiness, dysmenorrhea, epilepsy, angina pectoris and menstrual disorders, and in addition to problems in kidney function, glaucoma, liver failure and prostatic hyperplasia.

Side effects Betamaksa

Using Betamax can trigger such disorders:

  • a feeling of drowsiness, severe sedation and dizziness. Occasionally, there is a violation of sleep, aphasia, a feeling of excitement, as well as extrapyramidal disorder;
  • increased blood pressure and orthostatic collapse (occasionally);
  • heartburn, dryness of the oral mucosa, constipation or vomiting;
  • disorder of menstruation cycle or hyperprolactinaemia;
  • itching and rashes on the skin;
  • hyperhidrosis and an increase in temperature;
  • increased weight and swelling.

Overdose

Among the signs of intoxication: nausea, sedation, increased blood pressure, visual fuzziness, extrapyramidal disorders and vomiting. In addition, the dryness of the oral mucosa, hyperhidrosis, spasms of the chewing muscles, as well as coma.

Symptomatic measures are used to eliminate symptoms. The use of holinoblockers of the central type of action is prescribed.

Interactions with other drugs

Sulpiride potentiates the sedative effect of benzodiazepines with barbiturates, and in addition alcoholic beverages, opiates and antihistamines.

When combined with levodopa, mutual antagonism develops - drug efficacy is weakened.

The use of antihypertensive drugs can cause the appearance of orthostatic collapse.

Sucralfate, as well as antacids and magnesium- and aluminum-containing medicines weaken the bioavailability of Betamax.

An antagonistic effect develops with the combination of neuroleptics with dopamine endonucleotide agonists (among them amantadine, cabergoline, apomorphine and pyribedil with bromocriptine, and besides this lizard with pergolide, entacapone with quinagolide and pramipexole with ropinirole). If extrapyramidal disorder develops, cholinergic agents should be prescribed.

Ventricular tachycardia develops when the drug is combined with such drugs:

  • antiarrhythmic drugs of category 1A and 3, as well as antipsychotics (droperidol, chlorpromazine, haloperidol, as well as levomepromazine, thioridazine with amisulpride, and in addition tsiammazin, tiaprid and trifluoperazine);
  • medications that cause bradycardia (such as guanfacine with diltiazem, verapamil, clonidine with medicines of digitalis, rivastigmine, donepezil, galantamine with tacrine, and also beta-blockers, neostigmines, pyridostigmine and benonium chloride);
  • drugs that provoke the appearance of hypokalemia (laxatives or diuretics, tetracosactide, amphotericin B and GCS).

The combination with sultopride, which blocks the activity of dopamine ends, increases the likelihood of ventricular arrhythmia.

Reviews

Betamax, judging by the reviews on the forums, is often used in the treatment of depression, panic attacks and neuroses. Basically, it is used for a long time, in outpatient settings.

But many also took it for complex treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. He was prescribed for the treatment of colitis, ulcers and cholecystitis.

It is reported that the drug relieved not only of psychosomatic disorders (such as depression, anxiety and neurosis) observed against the background of gastrointestinal diseases, but also from dyspepsia symptoms (among them nausea, flatulence and eructation), and besides it stabilized the motor skills Gastrointestinal and gallbladder. With similar pathologies, the medication was prescribed in small portions (0.15 g per day, divided into 3 uses), and it was tolerated without complications and development of negative symptoms.

Of the negative signs in the reviews noted an increase in prolactin, a decrease in blood pressure, increased appetite, the emergence of swelling and weight gain. With prolonged use, sleep disturbances appeared.

Characteristic for any neuroleptic (especially this refers to triftazine, aminazine and fluorophenazine), the side effect is extrapyramidal disorders. Much more safe in this regard are antipsychotic antipsychotics, including clozapine, sulpiride and risperidone with Betamax. They are positively distinguished by the fact that they only lead to the appearance of symptoms of Parkinsonism, and even those are very weak.
