Release form

Release in the form of a cream in tubes with a volume of 30 or 100 g. Inside a separate package - 1 tube with cream.

Bepanten plus is a dermatological medicine from the category of disinfecting drugs and antiseptics.

Dexpanthenol is an active component of the cream. Inside the cells, it quickly converts to calcium pantothenate and acts on the body as a vitamin. Dexpanthenol after local application is easier absorbed into the skin than calcium pantothenate.

Pantothenate of calcium is an element of essential coenzyme of type A (CoA). In the form of acetylcoenzyme type A, it is the main participant in the metabolic processes inside all cells. Thus, this component becomes a necessary part of the processes of regeneration and healing of damaged mucous membranes and skin.

Dexpanthenol is quickly absorbed through the skin, and then immediately converted to calcium pantothenate and integrated into the structure of the endogenous depot of this vitamin.

Calcium pantothenate is synthesized with a plasma protein (mainly albumins with β-globulins). The indicator of the substance in an adult healthy person is approximately 500-1000 μg / L inside the blood, as well as 100 μg / l inside the serum.

The substance is not metabolized and excreted unchanged. When administered orally, excretion of the component with urine is 60-70%, and the remainder is excreted with feces. For a day in an adult with urine excreted 2-7 mg LS, and the child - 2-3 mg.

Use of the bepantena during pregnancy

There is no information on the risk of complications resulting from the use of Bepantin cream during pregnancy or lactation. Pregnant should use the cream with the permission of the doctor.

During the treatment of cracks in the nipples with lactation, it is required to wash the cream before the procedure of feeding.

Contraindications are intolerance to dexpanthenol or other elements of the drug.

Side effects of the bepantena

The use of the cream can lead to the appearance of side reactions from the side of immunity, as well as the subcutaneous layer with the skin. There is information about the development of skin allergy manifestations: allergic or contact type dermatitis, erythema eczema, urticaria and the appearance of irritation, rash or blisters on the skin.

Dosing and administration

To accelerate the processes of regeneration and epithelialization, it is necessary to apply the cream to the damaged skin area once or several times a day (depending on the need).

When nursing the mammary glands of nursing mothers, the cream is applied to the nipples after each feeding procedure.

When treating defects on the mucous membrane of the uterine neck, it is required to use the cream under the supervision of the treating doctor - to apply once or several times per day.

In the treatment of diaper dermatitis in infants, the cream is applied after each diaper changing procedure.

Bepanten is quickly absorbed into the skin, so it can be used to treat wound wetting type, applied to the scalp, as well as the face. The cream is easily spread over the entire surface of the skin, which allows it to be used to remove painful burns of an easy degree (for example, sunny).
