Indications Aevit

Treatment with Aevita is prescribed to patients who, due to various indicators, need a long-term use of vitamins A and E (in large quantities). Among the diseases in which this medication is indicated:

  • problems with microcirculation in tissues, as well as their trophicity;
  • vascular atherosclerosis;
  • obliterating form of endarteritis;
  • Libmann-Sachs disease or psoriasis;
  • atrophic processes in the optic nerves, development of hemorrhagia, xerotic keratitis, and in addition to pigment retinitis.

Use Aevit is also required for patients with a restricted diet and reduced levels of intake (in a natural way) of vitamins A and E. In addition, with the following diseases and conditions:

  • diarrhea;
  • gastric extirpation;
  • fat feces;
  • granulomatous enteritis, malabsorption, gluten enteropathy;
  • chronic form of cholestasis, obstructive jaundice, bile duct obstruction, and liver cirrhosis;
  • development of cystic fibrosis;
  • acute or chronic forms of infectious pathologies;
  • lack of adequate nutrition, rapid loss of weight (quite often Aevit prescribed to patients who are on parenteral nutrition - this is necessary to make up for the deficiency of the above vitamins in the body);
  • addiction, alcoholism or nicotine addiction;
  • long-term stress;
  • use of medicines, as well as mineral oils, which contain iron (such drugs as colestipol, neomycin, as well as colestyramine);
  • a diet in which a large number of fatty polyunsaturated acids enter the body;
  • development of hyperthyroidism;
  • polyneuropathy;
  • acanthocytosis;
  • necrotizing form of myopathy.

Pharmacodynamics

Vitamins Aevit help to heal tissues, and also help to carry out protein and lipid metabolism. In addition, they have a beneficial effect on the visual organs, the circulatory system, support the reproductive system, and at the same time restore trophism of tissues and vascular permeability.

The above properties are due to the presence of retinol and, together with it, tocopherol acetate, which have such an effect.

Retinol promotes the processes of metabolism inside tissues, and in addition enhances humoral together with cellular immunity, increases the rate of myelopoiesis and increases the functional activity of macrophages. Thanks to this vitamin can reduce the risk of diseases in the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, and in addition to this digestive system. Retinol also allows you to slow down the processes of keratinization and rejuvenate cells. Together with this, this vitamin has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the reproductive system. Palmitate retinol helps to form bone tissue with a visual signal and has a beneficial effect on bone growth. In addition, it has a positive effect on the functioning of teary, sebaceous, and with it sweat glands.

Unsaturated molecular bonds of retinol enable it to combine with various types of radicals, as well as stimulate the activity of antioxidant properties of tocopherol. It, in the future, prevents the oxidation of retinol, preventing these formation in the body of toxic products.

The function of tocopherol is to help regulate metabolic processes and protect cells from the effects of free radicals on them. Also, this component hinders the processes of hemolysis of erythrocytes and has a beneficial effect on tissue trophism and microcirculation, and at the same time on the vascular system.

Alpha-tocopherol performs stimulation of the immune system (cellular, and with it also humoral and general). This element helps to activate the function of T-lymphocytes. Together with this, in conjunction with retinol, it ensures the natural formation of the reproductive system in the embryo, and also promotes normal embryonic growth and development.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption of retinol occurs in the gastrointestinal tract, and vitamin E in the digestive tract. Both active components of the drug are evenly distributed within the organs and tissues. An excessive amount of active components is deposited inside the liver (retinol and partially tocopherol) and adrenal glands, together with red blood cells, fat and muscle tissues, and in testes (tocopherol acetate).

In the metabolism of retinol, active, as well as inactive decay products form inside the liver. The metabolism of vitamin E only leads to the formation of pharmacologically inactive decay products.

Retinol is excreted from the body under the guise of decomposition products along with bile and urine. This is a slow process - after a single dose, 1/3 of the vitamin is taken within 3 weeks. Excretion of tocopherol occurs exclusively together with bile. With urine, a small amount of substance is excreted.

Dosing and administration

Take vitamins should be after eating, while swallowing them whole, without chewing, and washing with plain water.

For an adult, the treatment course, on average, is 30-40 days (take 1 capsule 1 time per day). The attending physician may also prescribe individual doses for patients.

In order to more accurately prescribe the dosage of the medicine or to conduct a repeated course of treatment (the latter is allowed at least 3-6 months after the last course), the doctor needs to know exactly the characteristics of the patient's body, as well as the nature of his illness.

Use Aevit during pregnancy

Use Aevita during lactation or pregnancy is allowed only with the appointment of the treating doctor.

Contraindications

Among the contraindications:

  • the patient has an individual intolerance of the active components of drugs;
  • chronic form of glomerulonephritis and circulatory insufficiency, and in addition thyrotoxicosis;
  • myocardial infarction, severe atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries, the risk of thromboembolism, and in addition acute or chronic inflammatory processes in the kidneys (in this case, the drug can be administered with caution).

Side effects Aevit

The use of Aevit vitamins can lead to the occurrence of such adverse reactions:

  • symptoms of allergy, nausea with vomiting, upset of the chair or gastralgia - develop singly, usually due to the individual properties of the patient's body;
  • exacerbated chronic pancreatitis or cholelithiasis - in people who have been taking Aevit for a long time;
  • hypervitaminosis type A. Its manifestation is the defeat of the central nervous system and PNS, which causes the patient to have problems with sleep, headaches, feelings of irritability or apathy, as well as paresthesia. It is also possible to damage the skin - dryness in the area of the palms with the feet, as well as cracks in them, the development of alopecia or seborrhea.

There are also data on the increase in the size of the spleen, pain in the joints, and in addition to changing the gait - but these symptoms have arisen as a result of prolonged use of the drug in elevated dosages.

Overdose

In the case of taking too large doses of the drug, there may be a feeling of drowsiness, headaches, and problems with vision. In addition, the level of fluid pressure in the spinal cord may rise sharply (no pathological changes are observed in the liquid itself). In case of a further increase in dosage, convulsions and heart failure may occur. As a result of prolonged medication in large doses, retinol intoxication in chronic form may develop. Her symptoms are violations in the work of the CNS and PNS, as well as ODA and endocrine glands, and in addition to this skin lesion.

A specific antidote for eliminating overdose symptoms is absent. If chronic or acute intoxication develops, you should abolish the use of drugs and perform symptomatic treatment (if necessary).

Interactions with other drugs

The medicine is forbidden to combine with other drugs, which contain retinol, as well as its analogs in a synthetic form.

When Aevita is combined with estrogens, the risk of hypervitaminosis of type A may increase, and as a result, a similar combination of drugs is not recommended.

Nitrates, as well as colestyramine in conjunction with Aevit slow the absorption of retinol palmitate.

Retinol palmitate in combination with GCS weakens the anti-inflammatory properties of the latter.
