Acne on the back can appear in any person, regardless of age. Most often, acne makes itself known in the winter, which can be caused by wearing tight clothes made of synthetic fabrics that do not allow enough air to pass through and do not allow the skin to breathe freely. In the summer, acne on the back is much less common, but there is an opinion that the sun's rays have a negative effect on already affected areas of the body.

What causes back acne?

The cause of acne may be a malfunction of the sebaceous glands (there are most of them on the face, then on the sides, back and neck). The factor that provokes such a disorder may be non-compliance with hygiene rules, the use of low-quality or too oily cosmetics, improper nutrition, as well as hormonal imbalances in the body. Acne on the back can either slightly affect the skin or be quite deep. In no case should you squeeze out acne, since, in addition to the formation of scars, there is a risk of microbes entering the bloodstream.

If you have acne on your back, you should be especially careful when performing hygiene procedures, as excessive friction of the affected area can only make the situation worse.

A probable factor for the formation of large, hard to the touch pimples may be a disruption in the functioning of the endocrine system, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, or gynecological problems. Localization of pimples mostly in the rib area may indicate intercostal neuralgia, paravertebral spine - possible pathologies. If pimples on the back appear as a result of diseases of the internal organs, then you can get rid of them only by first curing the underlying disease.

How to get rid of acne on your back?

You can get rid of acne on your back using a variety of methods. Recently, methods such as ozone therapy have been used - a physiotherapeutic effect on the body using ozone, which is obtained from oxygen using a medical ozonizer. This therapy has an anti-inflammatory and immune-strengthening effect.

Acne on the back can also be treated with mesotherapy (introduction of low-dose medicinal injections into the skin) accelerates metabolism and tissue regeneration, eliminates oiliness of the skin. The general course of treatment is from four to ten sessions, which are carried out with a break of one to two weeks. Subsequently, preventive procedures can be prescribed approximately once every six months.

If acne on your back is caused by your skin being too oily and your diet not being balanced enough, the following procedures can be recommended:

  • drink one and a half to two liters of still water during the day;
  • take vitamin and mineral complexes, in particular vitamins A and E have a positive effect on the condition of the skin;
  • Include fresh vegetables and fruits, fish, nuts in your daily diet, exclude fatty foods and carbonated drinks;
  • Once every seven to eight days, cleanse the skin of your back. For this purpose, you can use levomycetin, metrogyl gel, calendula tincture, propolis, salicylic alcohol, tar soap, and special lotions;
  • take baths with a small amount of potassium permanganate, sea salt, cosmetic clay. After the procedure, let the body dry on its own.
  • try using a scrub with iodized salt, masks with an exfoliating effect. Such products should be purchased at a pharmacy.

Acne on the back, especially small and red rashes, can be of allergic origin. In this case, you can eliminate the problem by seeking help from an allergist and identifying the source of irritation.

Acne on the back can be the cause of the development of certain complexes, especially in adolescents. In adolescence, acne most often occurs due to hormonal changes in the body, while in more mature age it can indicate the presence of hidden pathologies. If you have acne on your back, seek help from a dermatologist. This will help quickly and effectively detect provoking factors, prevent negative consequences and cope with the problem.
