Ginger is an oriental hot spice. Even in ancient times, people valued this plant for its high healing qualities. In the countries of the East, ginger was once valued at the level of gold. A long time ago, oriental doctors discovered the healing properties of ginger. And in cooking, skilled cooks added this seasoning to all dishes - from soups to exquisite desserts. Today, ginger is considered one of the most common medicinal plants. It is used in medicine (it is part of some drugs) to treat various diseases.
Ginger is also used in cooking, its piquant taste gives dishes an exquisite taste. Usually the root is eaten raw or dried. Nowadays ginger is grown in a variety of regions with a tropical climate, but its homeland is considered to be the countries of South Asia.

The seemingly unremarkable root has a very rich composition. It includes calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, as well as vitamins, carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids. Such a "mineral-vitamin complex" is of particular importance in such an important period for every woman as pregnancy, and ginger tea helps to replenish the lack of important microelements. Ginger is often used in folk medicine, but it is especially useful for pregnant women because it has an antiemetic effect and relieves nausea during toxicosis. But this is not the only benefit for a pregnant woman from this wonderful root vegetable. It is a good sedative, and pregnancy is often accompanied by disorders and worries for the most insignificant reason. Usually, motherwort and valerian are prescribed to calm pregnant women, but ginger tea has an equally calming effect.
Ginger tea has a calming, analgesic, and anti-edematous effect, and also eliminates dizziness and improves well-being. If there are no contraindications (allergic reactions), honey or lemon can be added to the tea. Tea prepared in the evening in a thermos will help cope with morning sickness and poor health.
Very often during pregnancy, a woman suffers from indigestion, in this case, ginger will also help, as it is also a natural antispasmodic. During colds, ginger tea will help the body of a pregnant woman to increase immunity, because it is known that during pregnancy, the immune system is greatly weakened. Ginger tea is a natural medicine, it can be safely used by pregnant women. Indian doctors call ginger root a universal medicine, they also believe that in small doses it will not cause absolutely any harm to either the mother or her future baby. In addition, ginger helps a pregnant woman when carrying a child, but, as with any medicine, the main thing here is not to overdo it. Women who have had miscarriages, as well as in the late stages of pregnancy, should refrain from using ginger root.
