Cosmetic clay contains all the necessary microelements and minerals for the skin, which is why clay masks for the face work in several directions: tone, moisturize, nourish, tighten. In addition, there are no bacteria in clay, which makes it a well-deserved antiseptic.

Clay masks are especially useful for oily skin, as they have the ability to absorb excess fat, dirt that accumulates on the surface, as a result, the skin becomes fresh and clean. Clay tightens pores well, removes oily shine, acne, and various inflammations. Clay masks are a good substitute for scrubs and peels: firstly, such a mask perfectly exfoliates keratinized particles, and secondly, saturates the skin with useful substances.

Cosmetic clay comes in different colors, each of which solves specific skin problems. The healing effect of a clay mask depends on its mineral components (iron, copper, silicon, etc.).

You can enhance the effect of a clay mask by using herbal decoctions. When preparing the mask, simply use a herbal decoction suitable for your skin type instead of regular water. Before using the clay powder, sift it; if there are any lumps left, crush them with your fingers and sift. Apply the mask to a clean face, preferably along the massage lines. When the mask is applied to the face, it is best to limit facial expressions - do not talk, do not smile. On average, clay masks are applied for 15-20 minutes, during which time it is good to lie down and relax. The clay mask is washed off with plain water or a damp cotton pad; you cannot use soap or other cleansers.

Owners of normal, dry and sensitive skin can add a few drops of vegetable oil (olive, chamomile essential oil, etc. with a moisturizing effect) to the mask.

After the mask, you need to moisturize your face with cream.

In addition, the mask may dry unevenly on different skin types, due to uneven work of the sebaceous glands. If the mask dries quickly enough, you can wet your face with warm or thermal water to eliminate skin tightness.

If you use masks regularly, metabolic processes are normalized, the skin becomes velvety and beautiful.
