A yeast face mask has long been known to the fair half of humanity. Such masks were used long before scientists were able to explain the benefits of yeast for the skin. And they are very useful. After all, brewer's yeast is rich in vitamins B and D. These vitamins are important for the health and beauty of the skin.

In addition, yeast is a colony of living beings. They help heal the skin, kill harmful microorganisms and normalize the secretion of sebum from the glands. These beneficial properties of a yeast face mask can help get rid of acne and stop the formation of purulent pimples on the face.

Moreover, the maximum effect for skin health and the health of the whole body as a whole (after all, the skin is a mirror of the body's health) can be achieved by combining yeast face masks with taking yeast internally.

Benefits of brewer's yeast for the face

A yeast face mask will give you the opportunity to nourish your skin with useful vitamins and microelements. Vitamins rejuvenate and support the skin. It becomes softer and more elastic after such a mask. And you can feel, see and touch the difference. Penetrating into the middle of the cells, the useful substances from the yeast stimulate metabolism. Skin cells begin to grow and renew faster, which also rejuvenates the skin and affects its appearance and grooming.

The substances contained in brewer's yeast will help stop inflammation and suppuration of the skin. This means that a yeast face mask is the primary means of nourishing and caring for oily skin. To do this, yeast is added to an acidic environment, for example, lemon juice, and applied to the skin of the face. Such a mask cleanses the skin, removes excess fat, and kills harmful bacteria in the pores of the skin. Yeast nourishes the skin with vitamins, preventing further formation of acne and purulent pimples.

But yeast can be used to improve the condition of non-oily, dry or combination skin. In this case, you need to add a fat base to the mask. This can be vegetable oil, milk, cream, sour cream with a high percentage of fat, or maybe honey or egg yolk. In this case, yeast will also help get rid of acne, which can form on dry skin.

They will nourish the skin, which is very important when dry. After all, dry skin is prone to wrinkles. They will saturate it with vitamins and help moisturize dry skin. When making yeast masks for the face, you can immediately make a mask for your hair, because yeast is great for restoring hair.

Yeast Face Mask Recipes

A yeast face mask is useful for any skin type. However, these masks can be divided into two categories: for oily skin and for dry skin. After all, in addition to brewer's yeast, other ingredients should be added to the mask. They will depend on the skin type.

Yeast masks for dry skin

In addition to brewer's yeast, the following ingredients are added to the masks: vegetable oil (olive, sunflower, coconut, etc.), egg yolk, fatty cottage cheese, cream or milk, fish oil or honey.

Here are simple rules for using such masks. It is best to use not dry yeast for the mask, but yeast in briquettes, they are also called live yeast. They have higher activity. In addition, preservatives can be added to dry yeast to extend its shelf life.

Next, before adding the yeast to the mask, you need to dilute it with a small amount of warm water. This will activate the yeast and allow you to achieve the maximum effect when applying the mask. You only need a drop of water. When the yeast has come to life, you can add it to the mask. You should keep the yeast mask on your face for no more than twenty minutes. You need to wash it off with warm water. Finally, rinse your face with cold water.

We present you one of the simplest recipes for a yeast mask for dry skin: it includes olive or some other vegetable oil, which must be mixed with diluted yeast. Apply the mask to your face. Leave it on for twenty minutes. Apply generously to the entire skin of your face, except for the area around your lips and eyes. You can wash it off with cotton swabs or warm water.

You can add ingredients such as fish oil or honey to the yeast mask with milk. However, for dry skin, you need to use milk with maximum fat content. Add a little honey, about half a teaspoon. You need to let the mixture sit for a while so that the yeast can activate. You need to cleanse your face before applying the mask. Do not hold it for long.

Yeast Face Mask for Oily Skin

For oily skin, you need to choose a different approach. This skin needs to be degreased so that excess fat does not clog pores and lead to acne. Therefore, you need to add acid to the mask. You can take vinegar or lime or lemon juice. Before applying the mask, the skin must be thoroughly cleaned and steamed. In addition to lemon, you can add fermented milk products to such masks, for example, low-fat sour cream, cottage cheese or kefir.

Here is a recipe for one such mask: mix kefir and diluted yeast in equal parts and apply this mixture to the face. Keep for no more than 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Those who suffer from acne are familiar with the positive effects of hydrogen peroxide on oily skin. Hydrogen peroxide (3%) can be combined with yeast. After mixing the peroxide with yeast, the mask is immediately applied to the face. This mask should be washed off after about 5 minutes. You can wash it off with water or cold green tea.

Another mask will help with oily skin care and will whiten the skin of the face. Diluted yeast with lemon juice or currant juice is added to this mask. This mask can be kept for up to twenty minutes. It helps to cleanse the pores of the skin, nourish the skin with vitamins, destroy pathogenic flora and whiten the skin of the face.

Milk and Yeast Face Mask

Milk is a popular ingredient for masks. It contains vitamins, fats, and beneficial microflora. A face mask made from milk and yeast is great for dry skin. It can also be used for oily skin, but then you need to take skim milk or replace it with skim kefir.

The milk should be slightly warmer than room temperature. Yeast can be directly poured and activated with warm milk. The mixture should be thick, like thick sour cream. Let it sit for about five minutes. Then you can apply it to your face. It is better to cleanse and steam the skin.

This mixture can be kept on the face for about twenty minutes. It is not recommended to apply this mixture to the area around the lips and eyes. Remove with water warmer than room temperature, using a cotton swab. Can be washed off with contrast water.

Proper facial skin care with natural ingredients will help maintain the health and youth of your skin, prevent premature wrinkles and skin aging. And a yeast face mask will help fight pimples, acne, enzyme spots and other facial skin defects.
