Masks that contain beer smooth out wrinkles well. Beer masks have long been used by women to maintain youth. Women applied beer to their faces and chests, after which the skin became velvety and moisturized.
Beer is not just a drink, it is also an excellent cosmetic product for both skin and hair. Beer contains yeast, hops, vitamin complex, amino acids. Such a rich composition has a positive effect on the condition of our skin, moisturizes, nourishes, cleanses and rejuvenates it.
Nowadays, beer extract is included in many cosmetics. It can also be used on its own, both in pure form and added to various masks. You can also use beer foam, which is especially good for oily skin. After a foam mask, the skin becomes elastic, blood circulation improves, oiliness decreases, and pores close.
It is recommended to use beer masks for all women, at any age and with any skin type.
Beer Hair Mask
Women have known for a long time that beer helps strengthen hair, making it softer and more manageable. Moreover, scientists have confirmed the fact that beer helps maintain the beauty of hair and skin.
Beer consists of malt, hops, yeast, vitamins and microelements. Due to such a rich composition, beer makes hair more manageable, moisturized, promotes its growth, and also has a positive effect on the scalp.
Instead of the usual rinse, you can use beer. Every time after regular washing of the head it is recommended to pour this drink on the hair (after beer it is necessary to rinse with water) and it will acquire shine, will become manageable and will be easier to style. Dark beer is recommended to use only for women with dark hair, since the dyes included in the beer can affect the shade of the hair.
However, beer for hair is used not only as a conditioner. With its help, you can prepare many homemade masks, and also use it as a styling product. The most common way to use beer (since it does not require much preparation) is to apply a slightly warm drink to the hair and lightly massage the scalp with your fingertips. After this procedure, the hair becomes shiny and smooth.
Beer is also a great styling product. It can be used in several ways:
- Apply to slightly dried hair using a spray bottle, then dry with a hairdryer (or naturally) or curl with curlers (curling iron);
- Wet slightly dried hair with beer and style with a styler.
This styling will be elastic and shiny, and will not be damaged by bad weather conditions.
To strengthen your hair, give it shine, softness, etc., you can regularly use various masks with the addition of beer.
The easiest to prepare is a beer mask with the addition of yolk. To prepare it, you need to mix the chicken yolk well with half a glass of beer (you can beat it with a mixer). The resulting mixture is rubbed well into the scalp and distributed throughout the hair. After applying it to your head, you need to put on a special cap (you can also use a plastic bag, cling film, etc.) and leave the mask on for about 20 minutes, then rinse well with warm water. After this procedure, the hair becomes shinier, stronger, smoother, and the mask also promotes hair growth.
For dry hair, a mask made of beer with olive oil (or almond) is good. Take a teaspoon of oil per glass of beer, mix the mixture well and distribute it over your hair, rubbing it into your scalp, leave it for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water. The oil-beer mask has a smoothing effect and eliminates split ends.
A mask made from a mixture of kefir and beer (in equal proportions) has a good moisturizing and strengthening effect. Apply the mixture to your hair and leave it to act for 30 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Rye crackers combined with beer have a good strengthening effect, and also enhance hair growth. To prepare the mask, you need to take about 50g of rye crackers per glass of beer. Mix the ingredients well in a bowl, then rub the mixture well into the roots and distribute it over all your hair (the mask should be done on clean, damp hair). After an hour, rinse everything with vinegar water (1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar per 1 liter of water). After 2-3 procedures, the hair becomes thicker.
To restore your hair's natural shine, you can use a fruit mask. To prepare such a mask, you will need half a small banana and apple, two orange slices, grind everything well in a blender, then add the yolk and half a glass of beer. Apply the mask to your hair, massaging the roots well and leave for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
To restore damaged hair, you can use a beer mask with the addition of an egg and rum. Mix well with half a glass of dark beer, a yolk and 1 tablespoon of rum, apply to hair for 15-20 minutes, then rinse your head with lemon water.
Brewer's yeast hair mask
Brewer's yeast contains a large number of useful substances, microelements, vitamins, which help hair and skin to regain and maintain natural beauty, strength and shine.

Brewer's yeast saturates hair with useful compounds and substances, activates hair growth, strengthens the structure, in addition, such masks make hair easier to comb and make it more manageable when styling.

Beer mask for hair growth
Most people don’t understand how an intoxicating drink can be good for hair…
But in fact, this is true; beer, due to its composition, is a source of almost all the elements necessary for hair growth and beauty:
- hops are a source of phytoestrogen, a female hormone that improves hair growth;
- Brewer's yeast saturates with B vitamins, which are necessary for the treatment and restoration of hair follicles;
- alcohol prevents the formation of excess sebum and eliminates oiliness of the scalp;
- amino acids give hair elasticity, firmness and strength;
- Organic acids promote metabolic processes.
In general, the beer mask completely transforms damaged, dull hair. Their growth after "beer" procedures improves, they fall out less, split, become thicker and shinier.
In order for a mask prepared at home to work as effectively as possible, it is necessary to follow several rules:
- to prepare the mask you can use either beer or brewer's yeast;
- beer contains certain coloring pigments, so women with dark hair can use both dark and light beer, but blondes should avoid masks with dark beer;
- in order not to provoke a severe allergic reaction, you need to do a standard test before applying the mask: apply a small amount of the mask to the skin behind the ear or on the elbow and hold for a few minutes, if there is no redness, itching or burning, the mask can be safely used;
- It is best to use a mixture heated in a water bath;
- Beer masks are usually applied to dry and clean hair, thoroughly rubbed into the scalp and distributed along the entire length;
- After applying the mask, cover your head with a special plastic cap (bag, cling film, etc.) and wrap it in a towel to create a steam effect. This way, the mask will work more effectively and give off more nutrients;
- the mixture is washed off after about half an hour; you can use regular shampoo after the mask;
- Beer masks should be used once or twice a week, in a course of 10-12 procedures.
You need to choose masks whose components are available, since when using beer masks, regular use is the main thing to achieve the desired effect.
The best option to speed up hair growth is to rinse your hair with beer after each hair wash. This simple method will make your hair thick and shiny. However, regular use of masks is more effective.
The most affordable and effective masks for hair growth:
- mix half a glass of beer with a yolk and 1 tablespoon of honey (preferably liquid). The mask nourishes and moisturizes hair well;
- 0.5 l of beer and 200 g of rye bread, mix and let stand for two hours;
- mix a glass of beer with three tablespoons of mashed banana, a beaten egg and a tablespoon of honey;
- Dilute 10g of brewer's yeast with warm water (about two tablespoons), add a teaspoon of castor and burdock oil.
Beer face mask
Women began using the intoxicating drink for rejuvenation and beautiful skin back in the Middle Ages. The rich composition of beer makes it an almost irreplaceable source of all the useful substances that facial skin needs, especially in modern living conditions.
As already mentioned, beer can be used both in its pure form and by adding various equally useful ingredients. However, it is worth remembering that for the preparation of home skin care products it is necessary to use high-quality fresh beer.
Almost any beer that is not very strong can be used as a morning lotion for wiping the skin (or washing). Wiping the skin of the face with beer in the morning tones the skin, moisturizes, saturates it with nutrients, and gives a healthy color. Washing is useful not only for the face, eyelashes also receive nutrients, due to which their growth improves, fragility decreases.
For oily skin, a beer mask with lemon juice and honey is recommended. To prepare a homemade mask, dissolve a teaspoon of lemon juice and honey in 1/3 cup of beer in a water bath, then cool slightly (to a pleasant warmth) and spread evenly on the face, after 10-15 minutes wash off the mask with warm water without using soap or other cleansers. The mask will make the skin fresh, smooth, and eliminate oily shine.
For dry skin, masks with added oils are more suitable. To prepare, you will need one tablespoon of oil (olive, almond, grape, etc.) and honey, three tablespoons of light beer. Mix all the ingredients and heat in a water bath until the honey is completely melted. Apply the slightly warm mixture to the steamed face and leave until completely absorbed, then rinse with cool water. The mask has a very good moisturizing effect and is suitable for use once or twice a week.
In winter, when cold wind, rain and snow disrupt the skin's natural protection and it begins to peel, beer will help to cope with the situation again. To prepare a mask, you need to steam one or two tablespoons of oatmeal with hot water, after a few minutes add a few tablespoons of light beer and a couple of drops of alcohol to the mixture. This mask eliminates peeling after just a few days of use.
Almost immediately, the rejuvenating effect is noticeable after beer masks with the addition of potatoes. Grated raw potatoes and light beer are mixed well and applied to the face for 10-15 minutes, then washed off with cool water. After the first application, the face is noticeably tightened and acquires a healthy color.
Brewer's yeast face masks
Brewer's yeast saturates the skin with various acids, vitamins, and microelements. In addition, they contain antioxidants, amino acids, which improve metabolic processes. Brewer's yeast is widely used in the treatment of certain diseases, normalization of metabolism, cleansing the body of toxins, and they are also quite popular in cosmetology. Masks with brewer's yeast help well to cope with oily shine on the skin, eliminate acne, and various inflammations.
A beer mask, based on brewer's yeast, saturates the skin with useful compounds, smoothes fine wrinkles, and improves complexion. There are many mask recipes, among which several of the most effective ones can be distinguished:
To get a beautiful complexion and velvety skin, a mask of brewer's yeast and sour milk is suitable. Dissolve about 10 g of yeast in warm milk to get a creamy state, apply for 15 minutes, rinse your face with warm water.
A mask with the addition of alum (5% solution) or sauerkraut juice has a drying effect. This mask should be kept on the face for about 10 minutes, then washed with water at room temperature.
A mask with brewer's yeast and table vinegar also dries out the face well; apply the mask for 10 minutes, then wash off with cool water.
To remove oily shine from the face, you can use a mask of brewer's yeast and rye flour. To prepare the mask, you will need 1 tablespoon of yeast and flour, which are diluted with warm water until creamy. Wrap the mixture and leave it in a warm place for about three hours to ferment. In this recipe, rye flour can be replaced with wheat flour, but the effectiveness of the mask will be significantly reduced. After fermentation, apply the mask to the face for about 15 minutes, then wash off with slightly warm water.
Masks with brewer's yeast are good for acne and oily skin. Masking procedures should be done once or twice a week, preferably in the morning.
In summer, many women suffer from the appearance of age spots, in this case, brewer's yeast can help, which will not only eliminate (or make less noticeable) age spots on the face, but also rejuvenate the skin. For the mask, you will need 20 g of brewer's yeast (sold in pharmacies) and a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (2%). Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and apply to the face for 10 minutes, then rinse well with cool water.
