As scientists found out, blue light is able to stabilize high blood pressure: there is no need to take any medications. The risk of side effects with this kind of treatment is practically zero.

Specialists from Great Britain and Germany conducted a joint work, during which they discovered a new method of treating hypertension - safe and affordable. This method can be a great alternative to many drugs.

High blood pressure, or hypertension , is one of the most pressing medical problems, especially in economically developed countries. According to statistics provided by the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the negative effects of high blood pressure every day lead to the death of about 1000 residents of the country. Hypertension often becomes the "culprit" of heart attacks, strokes, renal failure, senile dementia, etc.

Today, the main medicines prescribed for high blood pressure are diuretics, calcium channel blockers, and drugs that inhibit the angiotensin-converting enzyme. The use of various medications can prevent many complications, prevent the death of the patient, but there is one drawback: absolutely all such medicines have many side effects. In addition, one must take into account the fact that most patients are forced to take such medicines almost until the end of their lives.

Is there a solution to this problem? Scientists representing the German University of Heine and the British University of Surrey have introduced a new unconventional method of stabilizing pressure. Through research, it was found that solar radiation has a pronounced effect on people suffering from hypertension. So, summer blood pressure indicators are usually more stable, and the abundance of sunny days affects the reduction in mortality from hypertension.

Many people know that ultraviolet damaging effects on the skin, leading to accelerated cellular aging. It has long been proven that direct sunlight can provoke the development of tumors - in particular, melanoma .

However, one must not forget that sunlight gives an impetus to the launch of vital chemical processes - in particular, the biological synthesis of vitamin D. In addition, rays affect the regulation of vascular tone. Of course, scientists were not going to use potentially carcinogenic radiation for treatment. However, they seriously thought about the alternative.

The ideal solution was soon found: the therapeutic effect was exerted by visible blue rays with a wavelength of 420 to 453 nm. Such radiation is capable of activating the biological synthesis of nitric oxide, without disturbing the cellular structures, without showing mutagenic or carcinogenic properties.

Studies have shown that in just a half-hour exposure to blue backlight can lower systolic blood pressure by about 8 mm RT. Art. Moreover, this decrease is soft and safe.

Of course, it is not worthwhile to refuse pills yet, because only preliminary results of testing were presented to us. But still there is hope that soon the problem of hypertension will be solved. [1]
