Every year the world celebrates World Health Day and in 2017 the theme of the company will be depression. From this disease people suffer at any age, regardless of social status, country of residence, etc. Depression brings severe psychological suffering to a person, negatively affects all aspects of life, including relationships with relatives, friends, colleagues. Especially with the goal of telling people about as much as possible about depression, World Health Day, which was held on October 10, is timed to coincide with the company, scheduled by WHO for 2017. According to experts, during the next year it is necessary to tell the population in all countries about depression, the causes of its development, the consequences that the course of the illness and the refusal of medical assistance can bring, as well as the methods of treatment and prevention of this mental disorder. It is possible that many people who suffer from depression for a long time will decide to ask for help, and their family members, friends, colleagues will understand their condition and will provide them with all possible support.

Depression is a condition in which a person is in constant despondency, lost interest in work, family, favorite pursuits. During a depression, a person can not and does not want to do the usual things, usually this condition lasts at least 2 weeks. The most common symptoms of depression are poor appetite, insomnia or vice versa drowsiness, anxiety, inability to concentrate, anxiety, indecision, a person has a sense of guilt, despair, own insignificance, thoughts of suicide appear.

Formed today stereotypes about depression prevent people from seeking professional help, people for various reasons refuse to discuss the problem with family members, friends and even doctors. But the discussion of the problem in the media, social networks, society, schools will help to destroy all stereotypes and encourage people to seek help.

WHO proclaimed the motto of the company: "Depression: let's talk". Experts note that the disease can begin in any person, so the company must touch every person, regardless of country of residence, money income, social status, etc. But, in spite of this, special attention is required by adolescents and young people from 15 to 24 years old, young women, especially women in childbirth and people older than 60, because there is an increased risk of developing depression in these categories.
