Specialists of the American University of California at Berkeley came to the conclusion that the golden standard of a happy family life is the similarity of partners in character traits, as well as common interests.

Thus, scientists have refuted the myth that opposites are attracted to each other.

American experts believe that men and women are looking for a companion for living together in a man who, to the same extent as they themselves, is in demand from the opposite sex. When choosing a couple, the person also focuses on the social and economic situation of the future partner.

During the experiment, the messages sent by 3,000 users of one of the dating sites were studied. As the analysis of messages showed, more popular people often communicated with Internet users, who also had a high popularity rating. Conversely, not very popular people were looking for a potential partner among users whose questionnaires were not very popular.

Scientists argue that the most strong and happy families can be created only if a man and a woman have similar character traits, share the same interests and occupy equal positions in the society.
