In adults, the injury of this muscle is relatively rare.
  • Ultrasound of the piriformis muscle is performed with the same syndrome (referring to the piriformis syndrome): the structural changes of the sciatic nerve are studied (the line of the piriformis space and the distal direction to the bifurcation area).
